About Me
Steve
Steve is a seasoned maritime professional and a respected captain with an illustrious career in the maritime industry. His journey at sea started from the ground up, acquiring a wealth of knowledge and experience that only hands-on years in the field can provide. His mastery of seafaring didn’t stop at navigating the vast oceans; he is also an expert in various maritime disciplines and has spent over 15 years surveying a variety of vessels and situations within the Far East and Middle East Regions. His experiences traverse international waters, and his vast experience of vessels has given him a global perspective that has proven invaluable in his role at Hong Kong International Marine Surveyors.
Having spent time working on board a variety of ships and in offices around the globe, Steve has learnt the value of honest and effective leadership, which works hand-in-hand with his commitment to offering an honest and professional service. Steve believes in leading by example and sets the bar high for the professional services offered by the Company.
Steve leverages his vast experience to provide a high level of service to each and every client and is a pilar of strength and wisdom to those who know him, whilst inspiring others with his passion for the marine industry. Trainee Recruitment
Hong Kong International Marine Surveyors is currently looking to employ a motivated and dedicated trainee who would like to join our team; we see this as an exciting opportunity for someone to learn from industry professionals and gain hands-on experience in the marine surveying and consultancy sector.
Language Proficiency
The trainee must have excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin). This includes the ability to read, write, and converse fluently. Multilingual candidates will have an advantage.
Computer Literacy
The candidate should have a good understanding of computer systems and be proficient in using key software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email applications. Knowledge in specialized maritime software would be a plus.
Education
A degree or diploma in the marine field (Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, etc.) would be beneficial; however, we believe in giving people a chance; therefore, a young enthusiastic person who has graduated from high school with a good skill set, and who is keen to learn and market the company, will also be considered.
Personal Skills
We’re looking for individuals who are motivated, quick learners, and have a strong interest in the maritime industry. Good team-working skills, adaptability, a problem-solving mindset, and a strong desire to get involved are essential.
